The Stinky Princess

What if you were a princess who could have anything in the world?

For Princess Gwen, if she wants it, she gets it. So, when she sees a witch zooming through the night sky on a flying broom, she just has to have it, and demands her father get it for her.

But, as she’ll soon find out, stealing from a witch is a very, VERY bad idea.

At her birthday party, right when she’s flirting with the most handsome prince EVER, Gwen gets a surprise birthday “gift” from the witch—one that makes her as stinky on the outside as she is on the inside. Mortified, she runs to the one place no one will find her: the troll-infested, deep, dark forest.

How can a spoiled princess who has never even brushed her own hair possibly survive on her own?

Well, with a bit of help from Lady Raven, the witch herself, who teaches Gwen to be strong and courageous—and, most exciting of all, how to make her OWN broom! Because, as everyone knows, a broom only flies for the woman who makes it (duh!).

Will Gwen ever escape her stinkiness?

You’ll have to read and find out…
(but, really, who cares if you stink if you’ve got a magic broom?!)

Loved it!

This book contains an exceptional fairytale! I found it hard to put down.

The Stinky Princess is the story of a snotty princess who learns to be content. This remarkable story will help to promote a sense of gratitude and humility in young readers. If you are in the market for stories with this kind of theme, then this book is for you!

Gwendolyn Rose gets anything she wants from her father the king, but when she sets her eyes on a witch's broom, she learns that some things are not for sale. Even so, she complains and whines until she finally gets the broom, but it does her more harm than good! Nevertheless, this process will help Gwendolyn mature into a beautiful young kind woman.

I really enjoyed this story. The plot and characters are well developed. The author's use of rhyming schemes and suspense is exceptional as well. As such, I found this story hard to put down. However, the entire book is written in rhymes, and it is quite a long story. In my humble opinion, I think the author did not need to use rhyming schemes for the entire book because the story is interesting on its own.

Additionally, the pictures are fascinating. The artist appears to be using computer-simulated watercolor paintings. Well done!

In sum, I would encourage buyers of books for young readers to pick up a copy of this book at their local bookstore. The plot and characters are well developed, and the storytelling is remarkably interesting!

Reading Together

Adorable, Clever, Fun

Wording is clever and has measure for fun reading aloud, written in a way that those reading to younger children won't mind that they want to hear the story read to them over and over, as young ones do. The illustrations are darling. The message is not overly simplified and yet easy to consume. A beautiful lesson in humility, kindness and strength by an obviously very talented author.

Fun, Cute Story

Cute story with a great lesson to learn. Fun to read aloud for the smaller kiddos. My kids are older (10 and 12) and thought it would be another boring princess story. You'll be surprised!

Great Message

My 9 year old daughter received this book as a gift and she really enjoyed it! It is a lengthier book unlike many children’s books, which are only a few sentences per page. The overall message it teaches children is fantastic and I would recommend it to both girls and boys!
